Sundance 2010: The Gen Art files

Besides good ole' Jonsey's Jukebox hosting interviews live at Sundance this year, Gen Art was also there to join in the indie film festivities, hosting a few events to honor some notables in the independent film world showcased at this year's festival.  An annual event that always draws a celebrity crowd, The Kenneth Cole Vintage Black Party held last Saturday, honored some well-known names in the indie flick world including Juliette Lewis, Melissa Leo, Diego Luna, and Michael Shannon.  And, let it be said we're claiming it here at IAMROGUE first, these actors are bound to be household names soon, with Melissa Leo and Michael Shannon both getting Oscar nomms last year. Other notables at the event were Danny Masterson spinning on the turntables, and his school-mate from the 70's, Wilmer Valderamma. (Insert shameless plug here: Check out Jonsey's Jukebox interview with Wilmer Valderamma at Sundance this year.)

Another notable event hosted by Gen Art was the K-Swiss Ping Pong classic where Sundance's Best Dramatic Feature's nominees were competing on the ping pong court.  Keeping the spirit of Sundance alive, Gen Art also screened the winning film of the K-Swiss Ping Pong Short Film Challenge.  If you’d like your very own chance to have your own flick seen by experts in the film industry, then enter to win at IAMROGUE.com, and check out the video below where the lucky contest winner Gabriel Sunday talks how he developed his flick, "Chinese Penhold."
