
In anticipation of the upcoming Rogue flick "MacGruber", the beloved SNL skit which parodies the popular character MacGyver, with his infamous mullet and conniving escape skills, the creator of the original show is threatening to sue for copyright infringement, according to the Latino Review. Interestingly, this was a SNL skit for years before it finally became a movie, even once incorporating the original MacGyver, Richard Dean Anderson, so one can argue that his timing is noteworthy. There was bound to be a movie inspired by him at some point, being such a cultural phenomenon, so it's a little surprising that the creator is taking it there, but not really, it is litigious America after-all. We'll see how this pans out, he wants to keep it out of theatres, but I doubt that will it ever go even there. And if he was going to sue someone over copyright infringement, why not the many other corporations that were involved with the MacGruber skits in past?
